1. Full-Time Floater

Position Overview

The Floater role at Empower Learn Create at UC is a dynamic opportunity for an educator to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children of all ages. Our beautiful natural play space and innovative art studio offer an ideal setting for creativity and exploration.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Required Qualifications

• Strong commitment to pursuing a CDA, associate degree, or higher credential in Early Childhood Education through scholarship-funded opportunities. CDA preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of constructivist teaching approaches is highly valued, along with a growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt to our center’s philosophy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
• Understanding of child development principles and effective early childhood education practices, with a willingness to receive coaching.

2. Director of Quality and Compliance

Position Overview

The Director of Quality and Compliance assists with leadership and oversight of the program’s short- and long-term operations, with a focus on centerwide quality initiatives and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation, ensuring compliance with Ohio licensing and Step Up To Quality requirements, and supervising school-age summer programming. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and assessment of short- and long-term operational goals and objectives.
• Assist with planning, organizing, and administering all components of Empower Learn Create, Inc.
• Help implement policies and procedures that support quality programming and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and funding agencies, including the Cincinnati Board of Health, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and Department of Children and Youth, OSHA, Bureau of Employment Services, Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation, Ohio Department of Teacher Education, the University of Cincinnati, Step Up To Quality, TEACH, and NAEYC.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and oversee school-age summer programming.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with three years of supervisory experience, or an associate degree with five years of supervisory experience, in a licensed early care and education center or related early childhood professional organization.
• At least two years of teaching experience in a licensed early care and education program; five years preferred.
• Experience with state licensing regulations, NAEYC accreditation criteria, and quality rating systems, including Step Up To Quality.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, supervisory, and prioritization abilities.
• Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software applications.
• Active involvement in community and professional organizations.
• Ability to successfully complete and maintain required criminal background checks.

3. Infant Caregiver

Position Overview

Empower Learn Create at UC is seeking a dedicated and passionate infant educator to create a nurturing, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for our youngest children.

Our infant classrooms maintain a 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio. Our commitment to social-emotional learning, combined with our beautiful natural play space and innovative art studio, supports educators in fostering curiosity, creativity, and healthy development.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and curriculum that support infant development and reflect constructivist principles.
2. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
3. Collaborate with colleagues to provide cohesive learning experiences aligned with our educational philosophy and goals.
4. Monitor and assess children’s development, providing individualized support as needed.
5. Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues through open communication and collaboration.
6. Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and other required documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience working with infants in an educational setting.
