CCAMPIS

The CCAMPIS (Child Care Access Means Parents In School) Grant is a federal program of the U.S. Department of Education that assists student parents with the cost of keeping their children enrolled in quality child care. To qualify for the CCAMPIS grant at NKU:

  • Pell eligible
  • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Northern Kentucky University
  • Maintain a GPA of at least a 2.0

Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)

Parents and caregivers may qualify for the Child Care Assistance Program if you have a child under 13, or who is 13 or older with a special need, and you meet any of these criteria:

  • You are employed; or you are enrolled in full-time education or accredited college or participate in the SNAP Employment and Training program;
  • You are unemployed but participating in an initial job search (can be used once in a 12-month period);
  • You are a teen parent attending elementary, middle of high school pursuing a GED in a classroom setting;
  • You are a K-TAP recipient who needs child care while participating in KentuckyWorks;
  • You have a protective or preventative service case and need child care.
