Myra Kathmann

Infant Teacher

Myra Kathmann has been at the Early Learning Campus at UC in the infant room since May of 2019. She earned her CDA in infant/toddler care in 2016.  Growing and learning with the infant room is such a joy.  Watching them learn new words, signing and moving their fingers and hands to finger plays brings such excitement and enthusiasm to the classroom.  Many skills are being taught like learning how to drink out of a sippy cup, open cup, using utensils, scraping plates when done with lunch.

Myra enjoys looking for new activities to keep children learning and engaged. Watching the infants learn from each other is exciting. There is often something new happening in the classroom, whether they learn how to be compassionate toward each other, how to talk, sign, crawl, and walk.  Every day is a new adventure!

During Myra’s free time she likes to take walks or ride her bike at the park.  She and her husband have three daughters and a son-in-law. They get together frequently and enjoy dinner, playing cards and board games.
